How to Get Recruited to College Basketball
Dream of playing college basketball? Division 1, D2, D3, JUCO and NAIA, it’s all college basketball. By playing in one of these programs, it increases your chances of making it to the NBA or professional basketball overseas.
If you’re a high school athlete, you’ll need to work on your academics as hard as you work on your basketball skills. Having a good report card helps with getting recruited and a scholarship.
Visit the college’s athletic page that you are interested in and check out the roster, coaches, etc. Speak to the coach or send him an email to start a relationship and invite him to your games. SELL YOURSELF.
“What if I never played in high school?”
If you never played or currently not playing varsity basketball in high school, you can always play AAU. Ask a friend or family members to record your games or invite a coach to watch you play. Send coaches full game footage and highlights.
